ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in infrastructure automation, high-availability systems, and production-grade application environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Ansible, Elasticsearch, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Nginx, PHP-FPM, GitHub Actions (CI/CD), Proxmox, Centreon, HAProxy, Strongswan and Heartbeat.

You will be responsible for designing, automating, optimizing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available systems across our infrastructure stack.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Automation

• Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible

• Automate provisioning, configuration management, and deployment pipelines

• Maintain system consistency across staging and production environments

CI/CD & DevOps Practices

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions

• Improve build, test, and deployment automation processes

• Implement automated rollback and release management strategies

• Ensure code quality, security scanning, and pipeline reliability

Application & Web Stack Management

• Configure and optimize Nginx and PHP-FPM environments

• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks across the application stack

• Manage SSL, reverse proxy configurations, and caching strategies

Database & Data Systems

• Administer and optimize MySQL (replication, clustering, backups, performance tuning)

• Maintain and scale Elasticsearch clusters

• Implement monitoring and indexing performance optimization strategies

Messaging & Asynchronous Systems

• Deploy, configure, and maintain RabbitMQ

• Monitor queue health, throughput, and clustering

• Optimize message handling and resilience strategies

High Availability & Load Balancing

• Configure and maintain HAProxy for load balancing and traffic routing

• Implement high availability solutions using Heartbeat

• Design failover and disaster recovery mechanisms

Monitoring & Reliability

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions

• Proactively identify infrastructure risks and performance issues

• Maintain uptime SLAs and ensure system reliability

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps / Site Reliability Engineering

• Fluent in English - B2 minimum / Native in French

• Strong expertise in:

Ansible (advanced playbooks, roles, templating, inventory management)

GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipeline design

MySQL administration and performance tuning

Elasticsearch cluster management

RabbitMQ clustering and optimization

Nginx and PHP-FPM production tuning

HAProxy configuration and load balancing

Proxmox virtualization server management

Heartbeat-based failover systems

• Strong Linux systems administration skills

• Experience with containerization (Docker preferred)

• Solid understanding of networking, TCP/IP, DNS, and SSL/TLS

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes

• Infrastructure monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)

• Security hardening and compliance experience

• Scripting skills (Bash, Python)
